Pollution pays. China, the world’s biggest carbon emitter, is using more coal as their govt tries to boost growth. India’s CO2 emissions have grown on avg. by 4.7% per year since 2000 – correlated to their recent economic growth. And remember, Trump backed out of Paris climate accord because he thinks it would be bad for the economy. 

Green New Deal

Economic growth and clean environment don’t have to stay stuck in this inverse relationship. There’s a growing movement among Democrats to push Green New Deal, which promises more growth and jobs while making the environment cleaner. The movement is just starting out, but we think you should pay attention.
